Michael Allen "Bear" LaGray was born in Malone, New York on July 24, 1954, son of Leon and Marguerite LaGray, and the Lord called him home on July 14, 2021.
He loved God and this country and could light a room with that big smile and beautiful brown eyes.  He moved to Texas in 1977 and started his career as a Tool and Die Maker at Texas Instruments and retired from Raytheon after 40 years. He loved working on just about in his shop; we called him "MacGyver".  Bear enjoyed hunting with his friends and riding his Harley or taking a drive in one of his cars.  He was a Christian and was loved by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Annette LaGray; son and wife, Chris and Ashell Mathis.   He had 2 other children in a previous marriage, Corey LaGray and Megan LaGray.  He is also survived by his brother, Carl and wife, Monique Burnham; sister, Peggy LaGray; sister, Carol White; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Lori Longtin; brother and sister-in-law, Darwin and Natalie Kloster; and several nieces and nephews.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Shirley Case and Beverley Burns.
Rosary and visitation were at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas, Sunday evening, July 18, 2021.   Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gainesville, Texas and he was laid to rest at Macomb Cemetery, north of Collinsville, Texas. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
