SHERMAN - Robert Eugene Taylor was born September 23, 1928 at Paris to Millard Cecil Taylor & Flora Lee Walker Taylor.  He married Annie Juanita Gentry on July 6, 1946 at Dallas.  He died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the age of 81 at Light House Senior Care Home in Sherman.  He spent most of his career as a plumber.  Later he drove a truck for a number of years for Dawson Propane in Whitewright.  Before retiring, he was a heavy machine operator for Grayson County Precinct 1.
He is survived by son, Robert Taylor Jr. and wife Debra of Luella; son, Ken Taylor and wife Bobbi of Luella; grandchildren, Jeremy Taylor and wife Stephanie of Carrolton; Angela Hackett and husband Doug of Euless; Amanda Taylor of Lewisville; Brad Taylor and wife Alecia of Charlotte, N.C.; Amber Taylor of Dallas; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe, Jerry and Harold Taylor; and brother-in-law, Henry "Doc" Gentry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie Taylor; sisters, Mary Kines, Florene Fletcher, and Sue Lamb; brothers, Richard and Thomas Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Tom Bean.  Burial will follow at Luella Cemetery in Sherman.  Pallbearers will be Randy Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Brad Taylor, David Taylor, T.D. Taylor, Orville Gentry, Gary McMillin, Andres Gutierrez and Alejandro Gutierrez.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Tom Bean.
The family would like to thank Ruth Smith with the Light House Senior Care Home for the tremendous care and love.
Arrangements are with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright.
