John Edward Brookshire, 73, of Bells, Texas, passed from this life Monday, June 13, 2022.
He was born March 5, 1985, in Sherman, Texas.  He went to Van Alstyne, Texas schools.  He worked in construction most of his life and then the last 2 years for a lawn service until unable to work.
John loved back roading, breaking and riding horses, roping, fishing, hunting, campfires, singing especially "Neon Moon", being with family and friends.  When he was younger, he loved boating, riding in a tube, skiing, and knee boarding.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, John Dayton Brookshire; Ruthie Joan Brookshire; Edward Lee Anderson; and Annie Joe Anderson.
John is survived by parents, David and Rhonda (step mom) Brookshire; Barbara Brookshire (Mom) and Roger Nowlin; sister, Sabrina Austin and husband, Brad; step-brothers, Justin Pace and wife, Elizabeth; and Bradley Pace; many uncles, aunts and cousins; John's girlfriend, Kathy Foust and daughter, Destiny Gowin, whom he loved like a step-daughter.
A funeral service was held Monday morning, June 20, 2022 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Peters officiating.  Burial was at Luella Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Johnny Wayne "JW" Brookshire, Kenneth Brookshire, Lee Brookshire, Alan Brookshire, Frank Foust, and Allan Landham.
