Our loving mother, Sarah Frances Carr, 77, of Farmington, went on to join her husband of 36 years, Eugene Carr, in Our Lord’s presence on August 15, 2005. Sarah was born November 4, 1927, in Grayson County, Texas, to Virgil Willis Green and Claribel Riddle. She was always a homemaker who took great pride in her home and caring for her family. One of her greatest pleasures was sewing.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents, Claribel and Virgil Green; baby, Waymond; brother, Jerry Green and sister, Carolyn Skidmore.
She is survived by sons, Billy Carr and wife, Jennifer, of Pottsboro, Texas; Jackie Carr of Cuero, Texas; Virgil Carr and wife, Glenna, of Wylie, Texas; and James Carr and wife, Sherrie, of Garland, Texas; daughters, Carlene Lee and husband, Cody, of Aztec; Nakina Talbert of Richardson, Texas; and Renee Songer and husband, Scott, of Rockwall, Texas; sister, Marilyn Smith; one brother, Virgil Green Jr.; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services for Sarah were at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, at Hagerman Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas. Rev. Brick James  officiateed. Burial followed at Locust Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Mike Lee, Snapper Carr, Will Lee, Trevor Talbert, Robert Songer and Jessie Carr.
Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec.
