Thursday, April 21, 1949 pg.5 BLANKS FUNERAL RITES HELD WEDNESDAY Whitewright - Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Marshall Blanks, 91, who died at her home near Whitewright Monday were held Wednesday at the Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. J.A. Henderson officiated with interment in Kentuckytown Cemetery. Earnheart funeral home was in charge. Mrs. Blanks was born August 23, 1857 in Kentucky, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melton Marshall. She came to Texas with her parents at the age of 8. At the time of her death she was the oldest living member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Hattie Short, Whitewright; Mrs. Alto Reynolds, Gunter; Mrs. Dixie Henderson, Arvin, California; 2 sons, Shilo Blanks and D. Blanks, both of Los Angeles; 30 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons were pallbearers.
