Graveside services were held Monday morning at Kendall Chapel Cemetery for Charlotta Mary Ireland of Sherman who died Thursday in Texoma Medical Center.  Rev. Eddie Vessels, Baptist minister, and Rev. Tom Medley of Friendship United Methodist Church will officiate.  Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ireland was born in Van Alstyne, the daughter of Thomas Fellon Sweeney and Celia Ann Brinlee Sweeney, and attended Van Alstyne and Denison schools.  She married John Dudley Ireland on September 20, 1930, in Durant, Oklahoma.  She was employed by S.H. Kress and Company, retiring as personal supervisor after 25 years.
Mrs. Ireland was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and the Texoma Christian Women's Association.  She was co-founder and charter member of the Circle J Regional Morgan Horse Association and the Texas Morgan Horse Club.
Surviving are her husband; son, Baxter D. Ireland of Denton; daughter, Mrs. Foy Crookham of Southmayd; brothers; Leo Guy Sweeney of Fort Worth; half brothers, Otis Bain Sweeney and Tommy Joe Sweeney, both of Fort Worth; stepbrother, Roy Trammell of Conway, Ark.; half sisters, Mary Ruth Wellington of Fort Worth and Betty Jean Brown of Gordonville; and 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Randy Bush, Scott Pelley, David Lee Crookham, Peter Brian Ireland, John Chelsey Ireland and James Farley Crookham. 
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Home, 1111 Herring Avenue, Waco, Texas 76708.
