services were held for Claudyne Cartwright, 73 year-old Sherwood Shores
resident, Monday, October 7, 2002 at Huff Funeral Chapel. James
Underwood conducted the service. Interment was in Kendall Chapel
Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home.
She died Friday, October 4, 2002 in Wilson N. Jones Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born August 29, 1929 in Dallas County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Claudia Hodges. She married William G. (Bill) Cartwright on June 1, 1948 in Dallas. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Denton. Survivors are her husband, William (Bill) Cartwright of Sherwood Shores; son, William Glenn Cartwright Jr., of Gilbert, Arizona; daughters, Sandra Gertrude Elliott of Dyer, Tennessee, and Darla Jane Becher of Cypress, Texas; brother, Melford Hodges of Aubrey, Texas; sisters, Pauline Ledbetter of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Charlene Emmons of Irving, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
