SHERMAN - Funeral services for Tommy T. Lee, 79, of Sherman will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at the Center Street Church of Christ in Sherman. Robert Lee, Auroro, Colorado will officiate and the burial will follow at Kendall Chapel Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Hayes, Rodney Lee, Danny Maples, Jerry Maples, Brian Norris and Tony Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Briley, Lewis Belknap and O. C. Miller.
He passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at the Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Tommy was born on Jan. 24, 1931, in Southmayd, the son of Robert E. and Beatrice Thornton Lee. Tommy graduated from Southmayd High School and later received his master's degree in education from the University of North Texas. He married Dorothy Maples on June 3, 1956 in Gunter.
Tommy loved fishing, listening to Gospel Music and he loved his Church were he had served as an elder for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Maples) Lee of Sherman; son, Randle Lee and wife Janell of Edmond, Okla.; daughter, Pam Corder and husband David of Pottsboro; grandchildren, Matthew Corder and wife Kate of Pottsboro, Danna Chisum and husband Matt of Ft. Meade, Md., Jenica Lee, Lyndsey Lee and Sarah Lee, all of Bullard, and Zoey Lee of Edmond, Okla. Tommy is also survived by one great-grandchild Hudson Corder; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Tull Lee, W.F. Lee and Paul Lee.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his care giver Judy Phillips, of Whitewright for her excellent care.
Family night will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 at Waldo Funeral Home.
