Charlie "Charles" Bell, age 98, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Homestead of Denison.
Mr. Bell was born December 22, 1909 in Pottsboro, Texas, the son of Pink and Clara (Morrison) Bell.  Charles was the last living sibling of ten children.  He enjoyed the outdoors and worked as a landscaper for many years.  Charles would always look his best, even wearing a shirt and tie while working in the yard.  He was proud of his profession and handed his knowledge and work ethic to his grandchildren.  Charles loved his family but loved the Lore foremost.  He was a faithful deacon for over 65 years at Hopewell Baptist Church.  Charles was also a member of the H.A. Coleman Masonic Lodge, where he served as Senior Warden and Senior Deacon until his health failed.  Charles was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Bell is survived by his beloved family: Juanita Hunt of Denison, Texas; Leonard Bell Sr. and wife Betty of Sherman; Ann Bell of Randallstown, Maryland; and LaDon Bell and wife, Rena, of Allen, Texas; grandchildren: Wesley Hunt, Jr., Kevin Anderson, Charlie Bell, Cassandra Bell, Melanie Roberts, Gregory "Greg" Bell and Dennis Bell; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Hazel Lee Moore Bell, and siblings.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning, August 23, 2008 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. C.E. Evans officiating.  Interment followed at Jeremiah Cemetery in Denison.  A Celebration of Life was held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Denison with a video and speakers reminiscing about their fond memories of Charles.
H.A. Coleman Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements were entrusted to Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 West Main in Denison.

Denison - Funeral for Hazel Lee Bell, 76, of Denison, who died Monday at her home, 624 W. Johnson, were held Friday afternoon in Hopewell Baptist Church. Burial was in Jeremiah Cemetery, under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bell was born in Forreston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Moore Sr. She was educated in Denison schools. She married Charlie Bell October 11, 1942. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and the Easter Star Lodge.
Survivors include her husband; 3 sons, Leonard Ray Sr.of Sherman; Charles Samuel of Los Angeles, California; LaDon of Allen; 2 daughters, Juanita Hunt of Denison and Mary Ann Bell of Southeastern, Massachusetts; sister, Mary Ann Hooks of Denison; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Marvin Mooney, Carl Fretwell, Kenneth Ford, Marvin Smith, William McKnight, Billy Malvern, Donnie Wilson, and Lovie Pough.
