Caryl Thayer was born Tuesday, November 3, 1942 in Minnesota to the late Raymond and Maxine Thayer and passed from this life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in his home at the age of 74.
Caryl worked as a commercial painter for 20 plus years. He married the love of his life, Delores Logan, on February 11, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He enjoyed working with his hands and building things with wood. Caryl and Delores attended the Luella First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; daughters, Teree Zeestraten and husband Brian of Bells, Texas; and Natasha Kummerfeldt and husband Kurt of Solvang, California; siblings, Norma Thayer of Newhall, California; David Thayer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mary Thayer Wedderburn of Coalinga, California; and Jeremy Thayer of Fresno, California; grandchildren, Ryan Zeestraten and wife Charisse, and Angie Zeestraten; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Christian, Cornelius, Savannah, and Zeke. 
Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 7th, in the Luella First Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Hawkins officiating. Interment followed at Holloway Cemetery in Luella.

Delores Jane Thayer

Delores Jane "Dee" Thayer, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2022 at the age of 82.
Born in Oklahoma October 24, 1939, daughter of Bill L. and Alma Logan, she moved with her family from Oklahoma to the San Joaquin Valley of California during her high school years.  She lived her life in California, Oregon, Arizona, and finally settled in Texas.
She was a bookkeeper and business owner.  She loved and enjoyed her family, gardening, collecting treasures to decorate her home, was an avid read and a dog lover.
She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, and was a follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her grandson, Ryan Zeestraten and wife, Charisse; great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Christian, Cornelius and Savannah; and her son-in-law, Brian Zeestraten.  She is also survived by her sister, Susan Conklin and husband, Robert; her nieces, Kendall Logan, Heidi Eden and Natasha Kummerfeldt; her nephews, Lonny Logan and Jason Eden.   She also leaves behind many grand-nieces and grand-nephews as well as her cousins, Dot and Irene Bradshaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Caryl Thayer; daughter, Teree Zeestraten; and brother, Wayne Logan.
Funeral services were held at Holloway Cemetery, Luella, Texas on Thursday morning, September 8, 2022.
