Stephenson 2 May 1922 - 11 January 1992 PFC US Army WWII  The Herald Democrat October 29, 2010 SHERMAN - Funeral services for Ruth Juanita Stephenson were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30 at Waldo Funeral Home. Her son-in-law, Pastor Carl Douglas of the Dixie Baptist Frontier Church officiates. Burial followed at Holloway Cemetery. Mrs. Stephenson, 78, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ Medical Center. Juanita was born December 16, 1931 in Tom Bean to the late Hebron and Marie (Smith) Davis. On February 28, 1950, she married Burl Stephenson in Denton. Juanita spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Stephenson is survived by one son, Phillip Stephenson; daughter, Renae Douglas and her husband Carl; grandchildren, Scott Douglas and Amy Douglas Stuckey; and four great-grandchildren, Nikkole Douglas, Blake Stuckey, Peyton Bunch, and Anthony Douglas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband. Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 1500 Waters Ridge Drive, Suite 100, Lewisville, TX 75057.
