Smith 26 October 1942 - wed 26 AUgust 1966 Billy "Bill" Ray Smith died peacefully at his home in Royse City on January 6, 2006, at the age of 61.
He was born August 20, 1944, in Lufkin to Dillard and Mattie (Crawford) Smith. He was a member of Lake Pointe Church and was a founding member of Southwest County Amateur Radio Group with call sign KO5Y. He is survived by his wife, Joanna Elizabeth Smith of Royse City; a son, Bruce Allan Lovesmith and wife Deanna of Waco; sister Linda Diane Southerland and husband Mike of Arlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at noon, January 9, 2006, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Rev. Lynn Cypert officiated. Interment followed at Halloway Cemetery. Memorials may be made to M.D.A., 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 1095, Dallas, TX 75251.
