Mrs. Maude Lee Turner, 82, housewife, died Tuesday morning in a Sherman hospital after an extended illness.  For the past 2 years, she had been a resident of Tom Bean, but prior to that was a resident of Dallas.
Services were held at 10:00 Thursday at the Renfro-Barrett Funeral Chapel, conducted by Ben Miller, minister of the Howe Church of Christ. Burial was in Holloway Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Truett Holloway, Frank Hall, Hallie Haizlip, Benny Armstrong, Ralph Martin, Morris Franklin and Jack Wade.
Mrs. Turner was a member of the Church of Christ, was born August 29, 1889 in Tom Bean, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Johnson.  She was married to James M. Turner [sic], who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one nephew, J.E. Poindexter, of Sherman; two nieces, Mrs. W.E. Hightower of Howe and Mrs. J.E. Thomas of Dallas.
