Services were held Tuesday at Earnheart Funeral Chapel in Whitewright with Rev. David Griffin, Baptist minister of Princeton, officiating. Burial was in Holloway Cemetery. Born September 3, 1909 in Blue Ridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Belew, he married the former Miss Lucy Simmons March 15, 1930 in Durant. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Whitewright. Mr. Belew retired in 1971 from the Army Corps of Engineers. Survivors include his wife of Irving; 2 daughters, Mrs. William E. Byers of Irving and Mrs. Paul Cole of San Antonio; 2 brothers, Roy Belew of Whitewright and Horace Belew of Meadow; and 4 grandchildren.
