Monk 12 September 1911 - 1 March 1988 Loyd Monk 6 October 1908 - 7 November 1974 wed 18 July 1932 The Bonham Daily Favorite Friday, November 8, 1974 pg. 10 SERVICES FOR LOYD MONK ARE SET SATURDAY Bells - Loyd Monk, 66, did at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 1974, in a Sherman hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hebron Baptist church with the Rev. Houston Garner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Mullican-Little. Mr. Monk was born October 6, 1908 at Ardmore, Oklahoma, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Monk. He Married Mrs. Urgia Belle Harden at Durant, Oklahoma, July 18, 1932. He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. He had lived in Grayson County most of his life. Survivors are his wife of the home; one son Gene Monk of Plano; five daughters, Mrs. Mina Hensley of Pottsboro; Mrs. Sandra Henderson of Whitewright; Mrs. Eva Maples of Royse City; Mrs. Shirley Simpson of Garland and Mrs. Lenora Shearer of Bells; one brother, Richard Monk of Gunter; one sister, Mrs. Eula Pruett of Parker, Washington; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
