Louis was the son of Thomas & Reba Shearer and was born, educated and lived in Bells, Texas. He married Helen Cunningham on August 17, 1946 in Bells. Louis was a retired Machinist with Washington Iron works of Sherman where he worked from 1946-1986. He was a member and 32 degree Mason of Bells Masonic Lodge 798, Scottish Rite & York Rite. He raised cattle in his retirement years. Louis served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist Mate.
Louis is survived by his wife Helen, daughter, Nancy Shrode & husband Steve; brother, Fred Shearer & wife Anna Lee; 3 grandchildren: Nick Shrode & wife Shawna, Nathan Shrode & Sam Shrode; 2 great grandchildren; Karli & Karah Shrode.
Louis was preceded by his parents; daughter, Lou Ayne Shearer; brothers: Wade, Glenn, Roy, Cecil & Ray Shearer; and sister, Grace Meyer.  Service Sat June 20, 2009

Helen Frances Shearer, 87, of Colorado City, Texas, formerly of Bells, passed away August 4, 2012.
Mrs. Shearer was born February 3, 1925 in Ambrose, TX. to Samuel J. Cunningham and Mary Jewel Bruce Cunningham. She married Louis Hales Shearer August 17, 1947, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her daughter, Lou Ayne Shearer; sister, Jo Butcher; and brothers, Jack and Johnny Cunningham.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Nancy Shrode and husband, Steve; 3 grandsons, Nick Shrode and wife, Shawna, Nathan Shrode, and Sam Shrode; 2 great-grandchildren, Karle and Karah Shrode.
Helen worked as a seamstress and her hobbies included sewing and reading everything she could get her hands on.
Services will be held at Mullican-Little Chapel in Bells at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 13, 2012 with burial at Hebron Cemetery, north of Bells.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 P.M., Sunday, August 12, 2012....Mullican-Little Funeral Home

Bells, Texas -- Fred Frank Shearer, 96, of Bells, Texas passed from our family to Heaven on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at WNJ Hospital in Sherman.

Fred was born in Sherman, May 31, 1918 to Frank and Reba Hales Shearer.  He married Anna Lee Whitlock January 18, 1941, two minutes after 10:00 p.m. at the Justice of Peace in Sherman.  Fred liked to say, “We were not man and wife until 10:02 p.m."  They enjoyed 73 years and 10 months of marriage and lived most of their married life in Bells.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Reba Shearer, brother, Louis Wade and Roy of Bells, Ray of Mississippi, Cecil
and Glenn of Houston, sister Grace of Oregon, and grandson Michael Davenport.

Fred is survived by his lovely wife Anna Lee, daughters Judith and husband Bob Spaugh of Denison, Phyllis and husband Phil Washburn of Plano, and sons Charles and wife Lenora Shearer of Bells, Keith and wife Colleen Shearer of Bonham.  He was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Family night will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26,  2014 at Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Gann, Brad Shearer, Justin Spaugh, Fadhili Washburn, Jacob Washburn, Tommy Mikusek, Nathan Thomas, Joshua Washburn, Jonathan Jacobs.
