Walter L. Moran, age 44, died at Sherman Thursday night of last week at 11:45 o'clock.  He was taken suddenly ill on the Saturday preceding his death and underwent an operation on the following day.  The deceased resided southwest of Whitewright for a number of years before moving to his late home north of Bells.
Mr. Moran was born in Kentucky and came to Texas at the age of sixteen.  He worked on farms in the Cannon community for several years.  He saved his earnings and it was not many years before he was farming for himself.  At the time of his death he owned a nice farm and filling station north of Bells.  The deceased was converted and joined the Baptist church some fifteen years ago.  He was a good citizen and will be miss by his friends and neighbors.
The funeral service was held at Hebron Baptist Church Friday afternoon and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. Akins, assisted by Rev. J.A. Henderson.  Interment was at the Hebron Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his wife and four children, and two brothers, J.E. and E.R. Moran, southwest of town, and his father and several brothers who live in Kentucky.
