FLOWER MOUND - Rev. William B. Higgins Jr., 80, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Medical City Dallas Hospital.
Rev. Higgins is survived by his beloved family; wife, Ruby Jane Higgins of Flower Mound; daughter, Donna Hobden of Lewisville; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and sister, Peggy Lamb of Cartwright, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Liberty Baptist Church, 602 Manco Road in Lewisville, with Dick Webster officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Hebron Cemetery in Bells, with Keith Taylor officiating. Family visitation will be held from 7:30 -9:30 p.m. Thursday at Liberty Baptist Church in Lewisville.

Ruby Jane Higgins, age 84, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus early the morning of Monday, March 19, 2018. Mrs. Higgins was born September 1, 1933 in Sherman, Texas, daughter of Clara Elizabeth Kluna and George Malone Douglas Sr. She was a native of Bells, Texas and graduated in the Class of 1949. The greatest joys of her life were her family, dear friends, going fishing, and her faith in Jesus Christ. She had an incredible bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved them with all her heart. Ruby enjoyed nothing more than preparing a great meal and enjoying it with her family. She truly had a servant's heart. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lewisville. Ruby will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  Mrs. Higgins leaves behind her beloved daughter, Donna and husband, Tom Hobden of Texas; grandchildren: Michael Smithwick of Pennsylvania Phillip Smithwick and wife, Leslie of Texas; Brittany Young and husband, Stewart of Texas; and Christina Hobden of Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Douglas Webb of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William B. Higgins Jr.; brother, George Malone Douglas Jr.; and sisters, Elizabeth Douglas Gregg and Alice Douglas Hollowell. 
Funeral services for Mrs. Higgins were held Friday morning, March 23, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Hebron Cemetery in Bells. Condolences may be registered online at www.fisherfh.com. Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
