AMBROSE - Funeral services for Beatrice Ola Fletcher, 86, of Ambrose, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, in Mullican-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Bells/Savoy. The Rev. Bob Rowe of Ambrose Baptist Church will officiate, and burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.
She died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in at her residence.
Surviving are her husband, Alvie Fletcher of Ambrose; daughters, Sandra Fletcher of Sherman and Doretha Whatley of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; son, Rinny Fletcher of Wills Point; sister, Gladys Stapp of Crowley; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

AMBROSE - Funeral services for Beatrice O. Fletcher, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 in the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy. Rev. Bobby Rowe Pastor of Ambrose Baptist Church will conduct the service and burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
Beatrice passed away peacefully at home Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 after a brave six month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a loyal pastor's wife of 63 years, helping her husband faithfully in his ministry. She was primarily a homemaker, a loving mom, and avid gardener. She loved sewing, quilting, raising flowers in her yard. She loved everyone and had a big heart with enough love for all.
Beatrice was born April 26, 1923 in Godly, the daughter of William and Ella Mae Martin Fagan. She married Alvie B. Fletcher on Feb. 2, 1946 in Denison. She was a member of the Ambrose Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Alvie Fletcher, daughters Doretha Whatley and her husband Robert of Defuniak Springs, Fla., and Sandra Fletcher of Sherman; son, Rinny Fletcher of Wills Point; sister, Gladys Stapp of Crowley; grandsons, Brent and Royce Whatley of Defuniak Springs, Fla., and John Paul Price of Sherman; great-grandson, Alan Whatley of Defuniak Springs, Fla., and sister-in-law
Ruth Fagan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clarence, Alvie, Jake, and Ray Fagan and granddaughter Talitha Gayle Price.
Pallbearers will be Bill Tippie, Eddie Branson, Robert Mitschke, John Ray Cunningham, Bob Rhea and Randy Langley. Memorials may be made in memory of Beatrice Fletcher to the Ambrose Baptist Church, 5057 FM 1897, Bells, TX 75414.

Ambrose - Rev. Alvie Fletcher from Ambrose passed away May 31, 2011.  He was born Oct. 13, 1921 at home in Fink.  Rev. Fletcher was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Fletcher; mother, Jimmie C. Fletcher; brother, E.E. Fletcher; one granddaughter, Taletha Gail Price, and Beatrice Fletcher, his wife of 63 years.
The surviving relatives include his brother, C.T. Fletcher of McKinney; two daughters, Doretha Whatley and Sandra Fletcher; one son Rinny Fletcher; three grandsons, Brent Whatley, John Paul Price, and Royce Whatley; one great-grandson, Alan Whatley; son-in-law, Robert Whatley; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews.
Alvie proudly served his country during World War II as a radio operator and gunner, flying missions in a B-25.  He graduated from East Texas Baptist College in Marshall.  Alvie was a Baptist minister for more than 40 years, pastoring churches in this area until retiring in 1996 from Ambrose Baptist Church.  Rev. Fletcher was also a machinist mechanic for Johnson & Johnson for many years.
He was an avid collector of fossils, mineral and Indian aftifacts.  For a time he was very active with the Texoma Rockhounds, even taking his collection into area schools as an educational tool for the students.  He wrote poetry, loved gardening, enjoyed oil painting and was also a substitute school teacher.  He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy.  Rev. Bob Rowe will officiate.  Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
