Douglas 7 February 1894 - 25 October 1961 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, January 22, 1970 pg. 7 Services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hebron Baptist Church for Mrs. Clara E. Douglas, 70. She died Saturday at her home in Bells. She had lived there for 40 years. Mrs. Douglas was born in Hempstead June 15, 1899. She was married to George M. Douglas October 13, 1917 in Austin. She was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. Rev. Houston Garner officiated with burial in Hebron Cemetery under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home. Survivors are one son, George M. Douglas, Jr. of Bisbee, Arizona; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Gregg of Denison, Mrs. Alice Hollowell of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Ruby Jane Higgins of Irving, Mrs. Rose Mary Webb of Compton, California; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dorothy Blackmore, Mrs. Helen Rozentritt, both of Austin; six brothers, Richard Kluna, Tommy Kluna, Frank Kluna, Johnny Kluna, Jack Kluna, all of Hempstead; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Cook of Austin, Mrs. Rose Ayers of Princeton; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
