Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Shelley, 50, wife of D.D. Shelley, route 3, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Hebron Baptist Church near Bells, conducted by Rev. Bob Cates of Collinsville.  Burial in Hebron Cemetery will be directed by Glen Earnheart.
Mrs. Shelley died in a Sherman hospital Monday after an illness of three weeks.
Born April 15, 1901, northeast of Trenton, Mrs. Shelley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.M. West.  She was married to D.D. Shelley at Bells on July 9, 1922.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband; four sons, Robert and Johnny Shelley, route 3; Preston Shelley with the army in Korea; and Joe Shelley with the army in Germany; six daughters, Shirley, Betty, Barbara, and Dorothy, route 3; Mrs. Nellie Howery of Fort Worth and Mrs. H.E. Force of Tempe, Arizona; two brothers, Jim West of Bells, and Bill West of Colbert, Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren.
