Troy Lee Moore
3 November 1932 - 10 July 2010

Corporal US Army

Troy Lee Moore, age 77 of Howe, Texas passed away July 10, 2010 in Denison, Texas.  He was born on November 3, 1932 in Lamesa, TX to Clyde and Eva Lee (McClendon) Moore.  Troy married Eula Fout on March 10, 1956 in Artesia, New Mexico.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Troy, also known as Dad, G-Dad, Pops and GG, was a loving husband, wonderful father and a very loved grandfather.  He was an honest man, and a man who honored God with his life.  He opened his home for weekly devotionals while we were in high school.  Everyone felt free to make themselves at home.  He respected and loved Eula, his wife, with all his heart.  On March 10, 2010 he celebrated 54 years of marriage.  He loved my Mom more now than when they were first married.  He set a wonderful example of what marriage should be.  He was always quick to tell you he loved you even if you messed up in life.  He never said an unkind word about anyone.  He was a hard worker all his life.  He started working at 8 years old as a "milk truck jumper".  He retired from Mobil Oil after 35 years of service.  After retiring, he started working for H&R Block, where he continued to work for the last 15 years.  Dad was dedicated to everything he started. He was loved by all who met him.  Dad, you fought the good fight and you finished the race.  You were faithful, and now you have your reward.  You will be missed, but we will see you again.
Surviving are his wife, Eula Moore of Howe, Texas; son Rick Moore of McKinney, Texas; one daughter, Janet Moore of McKinney, Texas; two grandsons, Michael Moore and Blaine Moore, both of McKinney, Texas; two sister, Blanche Wells and husband, Bill of Flower Mound, Texas and Sherry Day of Littleton, Colorado; three brothers, Elton Moore and wife, Fredna of Bronte, Texas, Orval Moore and wife, Tinnie of Azle, Texas and Delmar Moore of Lamesa, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Melba Spiegal of Howe, Texas, Wanda Bradley of Sherman, Texas and Edith Miller of Artesia, NM; numerous nieces and nephews; beloved family friends, Robert Foster and wife, Diane and Lindsey, Todd and Taylor Foster, all of Victoria, Texas. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne with Ray Wells officiating.  Internment will follow in Hall Cemetery.
