Bobby G. Baker
8 October 1939 - 6 December 1994

Van Alstyne - Graveside service for Bobby Gene Baker, Sr., 55-year-old Plano painter, was held Friday morning in Hall Cemetery.  He died Tuesday, December 6, 1994 at Plano General Hospital.   Bob Baker, Jr. officiated with arrangements by Flesher Funeral Home of Van Alstyne.
Mr. Baker was born in Blue Ridge, son of Dudley Franklin Baker and Faye Belle McAnaly Baker.  He married Lila Campbell September 15, 1970 at Madill, Oklahoma.  He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Terri Gaston of Quinlan; Tina Rodriquez of Frisco; and Bobbie Jo Baker of Plano; sons, Bobby Baker, Jr. of McKinney; Rodney Baker, Randy Baker and Michael Baker, all of Plano; sisters, Elsie Purser and Glenda Heather, both of Princeton; and Corine Alexander of Plano; brothers, Larry Baker of Hillsboro. Charles Baker and Jerry Baker, both of Princeton; and 10 grandchildren.



Rodney Gene Baker, a loving, good-hearted person, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2022 at the age of 49.
Rodney is survived by his 4 children: Trevin Shelton, Paislee Shelton (RJ); Kelvin Shelton; and Phaedra Baker; his step-daughter, Stevi Baker; his grandchild, Everlee Miller; and his siblings, Bobby Gene Baker (Cindy), Tiny Miller (Kenny), Bobbie Jo Baker (Lance), Randy Baker, and Michael Baker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Lila Baker; and his grandchild, Jase.
Rodney was born in McKinney, Texas on July 3, 1972.  He was a remarkable painter and handyman by trade, a skill which was passed down through 3 generations.  He had a love for shoes, band tees, and beanies.  He had a passion for rock and heavy metal music with bands ranging from Slipknot, Metallica, to his favorite ban, Pantera.
Rodney was known for his kind heart that was passed down from his Mom, who also had a loving soul.  He was a lovable goof with an impressionable laugh.  Rodney was a helpful, generous person; he would gladly lend a helping hand.  His love for his family and friends was unwavering.
Graveside services were held Sunday noon, June 26, 2022 at Hall Cemetery, Howe, Texas. - - - Scoggins Funeral Home
