HOWE - Graveside services for Robert Lee (Rob) Catching Jr. of Howe were held at Hall Cemetery in Howe at 10 a.m.
on Monday, June 25, 2012. Rob passed away on Friday, June 22, at Texoma Health Care Center in Sherman following a lengthy illness. Services were conducted by Rev. Tom Medley, pastor of First Methodist Church, Howe.

Rob was born on April 4, 1971, the son of Joyce Ann May and Robert Lee Catching Sr. Services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Rob was a 1989 graduate of Howe High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1993. He was self employed in Real Estate and Property Rentals. While in school, Rob was involved in Future Farmers of America and raised livestock for showing at various livestock shows including the annual Loy Lake Livestock Exposition. Rob was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother and father, Rob is survived by his sister Julie and husband Billy Lambert of Hearne; aunt Betty Jones of Carrollton; uncle and aunt, David and Gail Catching of Howe; aunt Jan May of McKinney; cousins, Clint Catching and wife Paula of Howe, Tom Catching of Sherman, Chad Catching and wife Angela of Howe, and Brandi May Carraway of Waurika, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Edward May, Jake and Thelma (Goff) Catching, and uncle Jimmy May.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice .


Betty Sue Catching Jones was born in Howe, Texas, November 16, 1946, daughter of Jake Lee and Thelma Catching.  She passed from this life July 7, 2022, peacefully at her home in Carrollton, Texas.
Betty grew up in Howe and graduated from Howe High School in 1965.   She then elected to attend and completed cosmetology school and later became a licensed Class A Barber in the state of Texas.  Her first job as a hairdresser was at Mamie's Beauty Shop in Howe. She then worked a few other places before settling in at Cullwell & Son on Hillcrest in Dallas, where she worked in "The Grooming Room" Cutting men's hair for 39 years.  There she made many wonderful friends and acquaintances that were 3rd generation family members. 
Betty is survived by her brothers, David Catching and wife, Gail; and Robert Catching; a niece, Julie Catching and nephews, Clint Catching and wife, Paula; Tom Catching; and Chad Catching and wife, Cary; great-nieces and nephews: Kindle, Erin and Lauren Catching; Jake and Lude Catching and Lane Rodgers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Joyce Catching; and nephew, Rob Catching.
The family held a private service and burial at Hall Cemetery in Howe, Texas. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
