Howe, Texas - Alma June Davis, 87, of Howe, passed away peacefully July 2, 2018 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas.
Alma June was born on a farm in Van Alstyne September 16, 1930.  She was a graduate of Van Alstyne High School, where she played basketball.  June married Mack A. Davis, on January 3, 1953.  Mack and June then oved to Germany that summer, where Mack was stationed in the Army.  They then moved to California and back to Germany throughout the following years, having two children along the way.  Once retired from the Army, Mack and June moved to Mineral Wells in 1967.  In 1972 the Davis family moved to their farm in Howe, where they have been for the last 46 years.  June worked at Independent Bank.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Hattie Elizabeth (Adams) Smith and James Grady Smith; siblings, Horace Hansel Smith, Bobby Joe Smith, James Wallace "Bouley" Smith, Jenny Joyce Drake, Sandra Glen Burke, GradyLene McKnight, and Frances Elizabeth Morgan.
She is survived by her husband; siblings, Betty Hearn, Rita Sue Thompson and Stanley "Bo" Smith; son, Jay Davis and wife, Sheila; daughter, Pamela Davis Miller; grandchildren: Cody Davis, Casey Davis and wife, Jordan; Macy Miller Faught and husband, Alex Faught; one great-granddaughter, Topher Leon Davis; and one great-grandson due in November.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Graveside services were held at Hall Cemetery, Howe, Texas on Thursday, July 5th with services under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Homer & Crematory. - - - Scoggins Funeral Home
