LOREN TOLBERT, 69, DIES SUNDAY, RITES WEDNESDAY
Richard Loren Tolbert, 69, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the Bonham VA Center Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at First Baptist Church here, with Rev. Bill Hindman officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Petty.  Interment was in Hall Cemetery under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home of Van Alstyne.
Born in Texas July 27, 1899, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Tolbert, he was a retired salesman and a World War II veteran.  He was a member of First Baptist Church here.
He and Miss Maude Webb were married October14, 1917 at Van Alstyne.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Joe  of Howe and Lt. Col. Raymond Tolbert of Bitburg, Germany; four grandchildren; a brother, S.V. Tolbert of Howe; two sisters, Mrs. George Schumacher of Sherman and Mrs. Buell Price of Howe.
Pallbearers were Frank Scott, Alfred Cavender, Seb Hedrick, Joyce Selby, Ray Henderson and Jack Taylor.
