Ronnie Eugene Morris was born December 31, 1939 in Henrietta, Texas, son of Eva Mae Butler Morris and Chester Matthew Morris.
Ronnie's career spanned numerous facets of the electric utility industry,  from climbing poles as a lineman when he started, to selling transformers as a manufacturer's representative when he retired.  After retirement, he delivered parts for O'Reilly Auto Parts several days a week.  He greatly enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow employees and customers.
Ronnie loved his hobby of metal detecting and all of his treasure hunting buddies.  He belonged to Lone Star Treasure Club in Irving, Texas for nearly 30 years.   He was a coin collector, history buff of the Civil War era and an avid read. Ronnie loved to prowl around in any antique store, flea market, auction or estate sale.  He could usually fit an estate sale in on the way to or from a doctor's appointment this last year.
Ronnnie is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Deborah Cowley Morris; and 3 children and their families, including 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild: Ronnie Alam Morris, daughter Mallie Morris Cunningham, son-inlaw, Zach Cunningham and granddaughter, Elliott Joy Cunningham; Julie Morris Moore and husband, J.R. and children Jackson Moore and Ava Moore; B.J. Davis and wife, Alicia Cathleen  Davis and daughters, Vivian Claire Davis and Adria Catherine Davis.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwayne and Greg Morris; and daughter-in-law, Teressa Martin Morris,
Ronnie was loved and will be missed by numerous extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that a memorial donation be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Ronnie Morris.  Ronnie fought stage-4 small cell lung cancer bravely for the last 9 months.
Services were held Monday morning, June 20, 2023 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, McKinney, Texas.  Interment followed at Hall Cemetery, Howe, Texas.
