Texas -- Glen Dale Bates, 64, of Howe, Texas passed away Monday,
January 20, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas. He
was born November 30, 1949 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Stanley Bates
and Edna Lee Bates. He married Maureen Pelley on July 1, 1985 in
Gunter, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Bates; three sons Nathan Bates, Chad Barrett, Chris Barrett; two daughters Michelle Galicia, Gail Hall; 9 grandchildren; and brother Bill Bates. Graveside funeral service were held Friday, January 24, 2014, at the Gunter Cemetery in Gunter, Texas with Gary Gibbs officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home Van Alstyne, Texas.
