Gunter - Funeral services for Mrs. Mallie Fox of Howe were held Friday afternoon at the Gunter Baptist Church. Mrs. Fox died Wednesday in a Sherman hospital. Rev. J. Coleman and Rev. Bob Bonham officiated. Burial was in Gunter Cemetery directed by Scott Funeral Home of Celina. She was born February 23, 1904 in Collin County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Wilson. She was married to A.J. Fox, December 7, 1922 in Grayson County. Survivors include her husband; 4 daughters, Mrs. Fay Griggs of Sherman; Mrs. Ruth Peterman and Mrs. Lela Armstrong of Celina; and Mrs. Mary Griffith of Irving; 3 sons, Rev. A.J. Fox, Jr. of Irving; Jim D. Fox and Virgil Lee Fox of Grand Prairie; 4 sisters, Mrs. Willie Whitfield of Denton; Mrs. Ollie Ford of Pilot Point; Mrs. Letha Reed of Collinsville; Mrs. Maudie Fairington of Sherman; 5 brothers, Barryman Wilson of McKinney; Leslie Wilson of Van Alstyne; Lee Wilson of Celina; Oscar Wilson of Sherman; and Charlie Wilson of Dallas; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
