GORDONVILLE
To the Democrat:

Gordonville, Feb. 28 - Mrs. M.E. Grubbs [sic] of the Locust community died last Thursday and was buried in the family burying ground the following afternoon.  Mrs. Grubbs [sic] was one of our pioneer citizens, well known in our territory and the owner of large property interests. Her fatal illness was of only a few days' duration.
Mrs. W.J. Carter of Dixon is the only
surviving member of her immediate family.  Mrs. Carter was called to her mother's bedside but arrived a few minutes too late.
Rev.
J.H. Bond of Cedar conducted the funeral service from the home of the deceased last Friday afternoon.
