Charles Alexander Belote, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Belote, who reside a few miles northeast of this city, died at Camp Oglethorpe, Georgia, Monday, October 14, 1918, following a week of illness with influenza which developed into pneumonia.  His father, C.A. Belote, left once for Camp Oglethorpe to bring the body home for burial.
Mr. Belote was 26 years of age and is survived by his parents, five sisters and six brothers, two of whom are now serving their country.  He was admitted to service in June and sent to Camp Travis, and was soon afterwards transferred to Camp Oglethorpe.
