Graveside services for Thomas Franklin "Sonny" Gibson, 71, of Sadler will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at the Gordonville Cemetery in Gordonville.
Sonny passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at his residence in Sadler.
He was born on Oct. 4, 1938, in Peoria, he son of Lee Dennis Gibson and Connie Teague Gibson.
Sonny served in the National Guard, he was the former owner of Loren's Lures and Sonny's Upholstery and he loved Texas, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He loved God and his family. Sonny married Linda Kay Stewart on Dec. 19, 1980 in Bodega Bay, Calif.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Gibson of Sadler; son, Rickey Lee Gibson of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters, Brenda Kay Mitchell of Camino, Calif, Donna Lea Reed and husband Dan of Camino, Calif., and Stacy Alisha Duarte and husband Manuel of Sadler, one grandson-Manuel Duarte, Jr. of Sadler. He is also survived by brothers, Lee Dennis Gibson Jr. and wife Beatrice of Gordonville, and Dennis Milton Gibson and wife Shirley of San Bernardino, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Gibson and one sister, Cleo Smith.
