  Whitesboro - Funeral services for Robert Earnest "Speedy" Davis, Jr., 77, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. Interment followed at Gordonville Cemetery. Speedy passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. He was born January 24, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Robert, Sr. and Tennie Lorene Kerr Davis. Speedy married D'Ann Womack on April 18, 1960 in Gordonville. He was a commercial fisherman, dairy farmer and beef cattle rancher. He and his father owned fish markets in Dallas, Ft. Worth and Oklahoma City. Speedy had been battling Parkinson's Disease for the past 25 years. Survivors include his wife of Whitesboro; two sons, Bobby Davis and wife, Pat, of Whitesboro and Randy Davis of Whitesboro; daughter, Deana Mrusek and husband, Mark, of Whitewboro; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Rodney Davis. Pallbearers were Dr. Robby Davis, Darrin Davis, Cody Davis, Mark Mrusek, Jr., Zach Mrusek, and Eddie Womack.
