POTTSBORO RESIDENT DIES THERE MONDAY
George W. Driggars, 82, a  resident of Pottsboro 21 years, died Monday at 12:20 p.m. at his home, following an illness of 6 months.  He was a  retired farmer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from Gordonville cemetery with Rev. Basil Shilling officiating.   Interment was held there with Short-Murray directing.
Driggars was born in Alabama, May 30, 1855, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Driggars.   Moving when a young child to Arkansas with his parents, he was reared and educated in that state. After becoming  grown, he moved to Hunt county, Texas.  He married Miss Lou Roan at Ladonia, Texas, June 12, 1878 and the couple lived there until settling in Grayson county in 1900. 
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his widow ; 3 sons, S.F. of Phoenix, Arizona; W.E. of Pottsboro and G.W. Driggars of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 4 daughters: Mrs. J.S. Davidson of Durant, Mrs. Leo Barnes of Gordonville, Mrs. Elizabeth Dicus of Pottsboro, and Mrs. A.O. Kyker of Dallas. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
