The Lord called Mark Stephen Raines, 64, home June 14, 2022 at t he Woodlands Nursing Home, after a  long and courageous battle with cancer and heart disease.
A funeral service was held Thursday afternoon, June 16, 2022 in the chapel of Waldo Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Shephard of Heritage Baptist Church officiating.   Burial was at Gordonville Cemetery.
Mark was born December 22, 1957 in Denison, Texas.  He was a beautiful Christmas gift from God, given to his parents, Leamon Oscar and Norma Ann Renfro Raines.
He was a graduate of Bells High School.  He worked in construction until he was unable to work.
He married Donna May Roman and they had a son, Jeremy Dewayne Raines.
Mark is survived by his mother; son, Jeremy Raines and wife, Kaia; sister, Leah Raines; brother, Forrest Raines and wife, Shannon; grandchildren: Hunter Lee Nobles, Liem Raines, Logan Baecht, Mayson Baecht and River Baecht; nephews, Michael Raines and Jordan Raines; special friend, Hope Ellis; aunts and uncles, Jerry Renfro and Barbara Renfro; David Renfro;  Mike Renfro and Glenda Renfro; cousins, Scott Renfro and Tonya Renfro.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Ben and Thelma Renfro and Ben and Frances Raines; and cousin, Jay Renfro.
