WHITESBORO - Graveside services for Dorothy S. Williams, 84, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Gordonville Cemetery with Carl Douglas officiating, services will be under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at her home in Whitesboro.
Dorothy was born on June 20, 1923 in Honey Grove, Texas to Will O. and Bonnie (Marshall) Shelby. She married John Paris Williams on January 17, 1941 in Sherman, Texas. Dorothy had retired from Texas Instruments after 18 years of service, she loved to go camping and fishing and taking care of her flowers. She also loved being a grandma and she always had a smile on her face.
She is survived by a son, John E. Williams of Whitesboro; two sisters, Mary Lou Wolfe of Arkansas and Lib Crawford of Dallas; five Grandchildren, John Williams and wife Jamie of Whitesboro, Rhonda Morris and husband Robert of Florida, Deborah Grant and husband Tony of Mississippi, Jennifer Michael-Phillips of Mississippi and Shawn Gamble of Whitesboro; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paris Williams; a daughter, Jean Wilson and several brothers and sisters.
