Friday, March 7, 1947 pg. 4 Following an illness of several months, Miss Jessie Newton, sister of Mrs. W.B. Munson, Sr. died at her home, 1109 W. Bond street, Friday night. Funeral services were conducted Monday by her pastor, Rev. Lenton Poss, of the First Christian Church, with interment at Fairview. [sic] Miss Newton had been a resident of the city for 44 years. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie [sic] Morgan Newton, Miss Newton was born in Montevallo, Alabama, on October 1, 1865. She moved with her parents to Sherman at the age of 4 and there attended the Captian LaTellier School. Later she made her home in Gordonville before coming to Denison in 1903.
