"Deanie", 61, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday (December 18, 1996) in Wilson N. Jones Hospital where she had been a patient for a short time.
She was born July 17, 1935, in Sherman, Texas, a daughter of William Robert and Ella Mae (Steele) Jones.  "Deanie" was retired after 23+ years from Texas Instruments. She attended Sherman High School and the America School of Chicago.
Surviving is her "Best Friend" and loving husband for 42 years, Homer Curtis Allison, a 39 year veteran retired as a Sherman Fire Fighter and Paramedic.  They married October 3, 1954 at East Sherman Baptist Church.  One son, Don Robert and his wife Joan Patricia (Hughes) Allison, two grandsons Douglas Dean Allison and Robert Curtis and his wife Jennifer Faith (Aune) Allison and two great-grandchildren Jessica Brook and Sean Douglas Allison. 
Services will be held Friday, December 20, 1996, at Forest Ave. Baptist Church, where her and her husband are long-time members.  The presiding clergy will be their pastor, Rev. Stephen Warren, and Rev. David Griffin, a long time friend.  Internment will be at Georgetown Cemetery, just north of Pottsboro, Texas.  Waldo Funeral Home will conduct the services.

Sherman - Homer Curtis Allison was called home to Heaven on Thursday, September 21, 2017.  He is gone but not forgotten.  
Homer was born August 17, 1931 in Dripping Springs, Texas, son of M. Truett and Lou Ellen Hix Allison.  He was born the second of 8 children.
Mr. Allison attended Van Alstyne schools and married the love of his life, Willadeen 'Deenie" Jones on October 3, 1965.   They were married 41 years when she passed away.  Homer was stationed in Alaska with the US Army for 4 years.  He worked for Sherman Manufacturing, then the Sherman Fire Department, retiring after 38 years.
Mr. Allison is survived by his special friend, Juanita Vannoy of Sadler; 2 brothers, Marion Allison and wife, Nelda, of Howe; and Don Allison and wife, Cindy of Bedford; 2 sisters, Charlotte A. Huntsman and husband, Jimmy, of Howe; and Mary Alice Gordon of Carrollton; 2 sisters-in-law, Patsy Allison of Howe and Mary Allison of Sherman; son, Don Robert Allison and wife, Pat, of Plano; grandsons, Curtis Allison of New  Hampshire; Douglas Allison and wife, Jaqueline, of Leonard; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Homer was preceded in death by his wife; parents; 3 brothers, Phillip, Ray, and Dean Allison; and granddaughter, Rebecca Allison.
Funeral services were held  Tuesday morning, September 26 at Forest Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Taylor officiating.  Burial followed at Georgetown Cemetery with Bill Macon, Jessie Kelly, Danny Jones, Larry Owens, Danny Fuller, Michael Reynolds, and Tom Brown serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Avenue Baptist Church.

Sherman, Texas - Rebecca, a full term infant, was stillborn Thursday, July 26, 1973 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.  She is the daughter of Don Robert and Joan Patricia Hughes Allison.
Rev. R.M. Williams, pastor of the East Sherman Baptist Church, conducted a graveside service at Georgetown Cemetery, just north or Pottsboro, Texas.
She is the granddaughter of Homer Curtis and Willadeen Jones Allison of Sherman; and Alexander Clifford Hughes of Fairview Village, PA and Betty June Frederick Hughes of Autobahn, Pennsylvania
