It is with lonely but peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Johnson to join her Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, this day, August 10, 2022.  Her life was celebrated by friends and family at a graveside service Friday afternoon, August 12, 2022 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas.
As you may know she lived her final years on Cemetery Road here in Pottsboro and loved to joke that she was also born on Cemetery Road in Shamrock, Texas.  Dr. Frank Alegria of Lakeway United Methodist Church where she faithfully served as a member officiated and arrangements were entrusted to Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
Patricia was born the middle daughter of Ivan and Inez Walraven in Shamrock, Texas on September 24, 1934.  She was proud to be a member of the Fighting Irish of Shamrock High School and graduated with the class of 1952.  She was courted by the handsome Navy sailor, Clifford Johnson.  They were wed on September 12, 1958 and recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary.   Patricia started her career at Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator and worked her way to manager in the Administration Office in Amarillo, Texas where she retired in 1983 at the young age of 50.  She was a master seamstress, an amazing cook (as anybody who had her chocolate cake would know), loved striper fishing, and was even an accomplished skeet shooter (winning several state wide trophies).  Patricia loved traveling with Clifford and enjoyed visiting Alaska, the Rockies and Hawaii.
Patricia is enjoying a reunion with those who proceeded her in death including Clifford; her parents; 2 sisters, Doris Haynes and Helen Zook.
