Orland Stephen Hyatt was born May 10, 1927 in Afton, Texas, son of Stephen S. and Ellen Prudence Hyatt.  Most of his friends and relatives called him "Orlie."  He was 94 years old and passed away October 15, 2021.
After school he joined the Navy and was stationed in Guam during World War II and honorably discharged in August 1946.  After leaving the service, he married the love of his life, Linda Dobbs on October 29,  1946. They were happily married for 70 years. After his service, he hated being on a boat, eating fish and Navy beans. Orland owned Custombilt with his son for over 40 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Donna Hyatt; son, David Hyatt; and recently his brother, Pete on August 28, 2021.
He leaves behind daughters, Mona Littrell and husband, George, of Denison, Texas; Maureen Hyatt of Sherman, Texas; 9 grandchildren: Mason Hyatt, Richard Hyatt, Jeremy Hyatt, JoAnn Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Sean Patterson, Joshua Littrell, Michelle Haines, Stephen Littrell; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Hyatt were held Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2021 at Church of Christ in Pottsboro. Interment followed with Military Honors at Georgetown Cemetery.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas. - - - Fisher Funeral Home


Funeral services for Linda Lou Hyatt were held Friday morning, October 21, 2016 at Pottsboro Church of Christ with minister Kevin Shimp officiating. Interment followed at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
She was born October 8, 1928 and passed away October 16, 2016 at the age of 88 years.
