Jorene "Jo" McKnight Bardwell of Whitesboro, Texas, born on November 9, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Clifford G. and Opal Malone McKnight, passed away at the age of 70 on November 6, 2018 at her home in Whitesboro from this life into her eternal life.  Jo was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, who loved the Lord and encouraged us all to find our path and joy in life.
After high school she went on to attend and graduate from East Texas State.  She served as the County Clerk for the Collin County Justice of the Peace for 15 years.  She married Milton Bardwell on October 2, 1995 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Jo was a member of othe Collinsville United Methodist Church.
Jo is survived by her husband of Whitesboro; daughter, Ashley Coone and husband, Sheidan Coone, of McKinney, Texas; step-daughter, Kim Long of Florida; step-daughter, Tiffany Barton of Amarillo; grandchildren, Braxton Coone, Cameron and Wyatt Barton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, A.J. McKnight.
Graveside services for Jorene "Jo" McKinney Bardwell were held Saturday afternoon, November 20, 2018 at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, officiated by Rev. Ken Hildebrand.

On Saturday, August 3, 2019 the Lord called Milton Dean Bardwell to his heavenly home, on his 79th birthday.
Milton was born August 3, 1940 in Big Spring, Texas, son of Delbert and Audry Wiggins Bardwell.  He married the love of his life, Jorene "Jo" McKnight, in 1995.  He served his country proudly as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp.  On returning home he began a 40 year career in law enforcement.  He was a police officer for McKinney Police Department, a Texas State Trooper and later a Deputy for Collin County.  Milton was an avid loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns.  He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and following the weather.  Milton loved the Lord and was a very active member of Collinsville United Methodist Church in Collinsville.
Mr. Bardwell leaves behind his daughters, Kimberly Long and husband, Jason, of Palmetto, Florida; Tiffany Barton and husband, Michael, of Amarillo, Texas; step-daughter, Ashley Coone and husband, Sheldon, of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Cameron Barton, Wyatt Barton, and Braxton Coone; brothers, Jerry Bardwell, of Pottsboro, Texas and Hubert Bardwell and wife, Diana, of Allen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jorene; and sister, Mary Evelyn Bardwell.
Graveside services were held Tuesday morning, August 6, 2019 at Georgetown Cemetery with Pastor Ken Hildebrand officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
