April 17, 1924 pg 1 Miss Mary Freeman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Freeman, formerly of this place but now residing in Sherman, was declared winner of the Sherman high school sewing contest. The prize offered in the contest is a trip to Galveston, with all expenses paid. Two other Sherman school girls also won trips to Galveston, accompanied by one of the teachers.
