Negro School News
The choral group of the Whitewright Negro Grammar School presented a very colorful pageant titled "In Praise of Brotherhood,"
Sunday night at the Methodist Church, and was witnessed by a large group.  The pageant brought out the meaning of Armistice Day and how people of various foreign nations have come over to this great republic of ours, have taken on our customs and habits in helping to make America the greatest of all nations.  This was preceded by a brief history of Armistice Day by our
principal, and the playing of a medley of patriotic songs by our music teacher.
We are progressing very well with our lunch project, but we will welcome any contributions from our friends of the entire community.
The pupils of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades observed book week November 2-8 by making a short but interesting book report.
Each pupil made an outline from the book that was reported on and from this outline a detailed discussion was presented to the classes.
