by Steve Coker

Rubye Hardin Binion, # 23, age 96, widow of Lee Binion, # 16, is still living in a nursing home in Fort Worth. She was "very sharp" until recently. She shared a wealth of information on how things were around Pilot Grove early this century. Rubye' father, Joel L. Hardin, who farmed on the Binion Place, served in the Civil War. Rubye, a "Daughter of the Confederacy", is one of a handful still living.
