FINAL PROGRAM FOR END OF SCHOOL
The Whitewright public schools will end the current session with final programs Friday, Sunday and Monday.
Graduation exercises for the Negro elementary school will be held Friday night at the Western Beauty C.M.E. Church.

NEGRO SCHOOL
The G.W. Carver Elementary School of Whitewright will have graduation exercises at the Western Beauty C.M.E. Church Friday, May 26, at 8 p.m.  Graduation certificates will be awarded to four students, Horrol Ray Ballard, Jerrol Roy Ballard, Wilma Marie Rice and Mildred Marie Arterberry.

Following is the program:
  • Processional
  • Song - Negro National Anthem
  • Invocation - Andy Crowley
  • Song - "Free At Last"
  • Class Prophecy - Jerrol Roy Ballard
  • Acknowledgment of accomplishments - Harrol Ray Ballard
  • Salutatory - Wilma Marie Rice
  • Valedictory - Mildred Marie Arterberry
  • Song - "Bless This House"
  • Introduction of speaker - J.L. Huckaby
  • Speaker - Dr. W.E. McGruder of Sherman
  • Song - "I Believe"
  • Presentation of diplomas - S.T. Montgomery, Jr.
  • Benediction
