 Gunter, Texas Roy Lee Baughman ~ 1958 Graduate
Roy started school at Stiff (1st grade), was moved to Tioga school where he completed grades 1-8. The next move he entered High School at Gunter. He wrote "When I was attending school at Gunter, I was surrounded by an outstanding student body and excellent teachers who prepared me for life and college."  Roy married Earlene Matney in 1961. They are parents of two boys, Chris and Todd. Roy is a graduate of UTA (BSME) in 1968 and USC (MS in Aerospace Management) in 1978. He worked for LTV-Kentron-LTV- Loral Lockheed from 1968 to 2005. Roy helped launch the first navigational satellites (for Navy subs), 1969-1980. He also designed and launched missiles for 36 years.
