Elm View School was a two-room school with grades 1 through 7. The janitorial serves were provided by each teacher who swept the school rooms, fired the stoves and drew drinking water from the well located in the school yard.

The school was consolidated with the Gunter Public School in 1934. At that time Mrs. W. J. Phillips and the students were transferred to Gunter.

Among the trustees were:
  • J. H. Cheatham
  • Fred Dobbs
  • Press Harris

Elm View School was north of Gunter, Texas.

The location of the school building is unknown.
