Dripping Springs District 84 was a one-teacher school. The first school was used as a Baptist Church. The second school was a two story frame building erected adjacent to the old one. The Woodman of the World Lodge used the second floor.  The land for the school was donated by Sam Venable. The school was consolidated with the Denison school and the school building was dismantled.

Some of the teachers were:

  • Prof. Polk Williams (also a preacher)
  • Ivy Reynolds
  • Margarite Newton
  • Mrs. Guy Garner
  • Grace Wilburn Ussery

Some of the trustees were:
  • Clarence Fogie
  • Jim Todd
  • John Nelson



Dripping Springs School was located south of Iron Ore Creek.
The school house was located in the Hilburn Survey No.495.
