County Line School was located northwest of Collinsville and lay mainly in Grayson County but did cross the county line into Cooke County.  The school building was a one-room building which sometimes employed two teachers.

On Sunday, Bible classes met and ministers from different denominations presented lessons.  The school building was also used for various community events such as spelling bees and pie suppers.

One pie supper provided money for a Coleman lantern to be used in the building.  There was no electricity or running water.  The students would bring water from home or carry it inside in buckets from farm wells.  One year Mr. S. O. Cavin hauled water by wagon and kept a barrel filled.  The barrel was placed in the corner of the room with a canvas cover over it and with dippers hanging on the side.

Among the teachers at County Line School were Buvy Lyncy, Blanche Baker, Johnnie Mitchell, Bess Deaver, Mary Pruitt, Nell Wheeler, Ollie Pruitt, Jasper Wheeler, Mrs. Otto King, Miss McMenamy, George DeSpain, Mrs. Ivah Miller, Mrs. Peggy Alexander.
