Bells, Texas

The town, Bells, had a school known as Corneilison. Miss Jennie Lanham was the first teacher.  The school was too small so many citizens taught classes in vacant buildings.

A new school was built in in 1878 in the north Bells area known as Gospel Ridge. Mr. Mark Moulton was the Superintendent for many years.

The following schools consolidated with Bells School District:
  • Ambrose
  • Bethel
  • Calamus
  • Cannan
  • Cherry Mound
  • Dugan Chapel
  • Jernigan
  • Muhurin
  • Pink Hill
